"Our beautiful girl Sprydo, adopted us nearly 20 years ago on the island of Crete. Seven years ago we moved back to the Forest of Dean. Sprydo's life has always been active & independent until recently where she started to slow down & be even more fussy with her food. On the 1st of December, we new there was something very wrong. Sprydo always hated her basket & the car so we knew a home visit with a vet was the only option to keep her comfortable. Katie came into our home with total compassion, professionalism & understanding & gave us all the information we needed. Katies touch with Sprydo was so gentle & delicate, our girl was able to be at home on her own bed with us & have a loving, peaceful, calm & dignified end. Katie organised Sprydo's cremation & returned her to us beautifully with the same care & compassion. We can't recommend Katie highly enough. She made the whole situation more bearable. She's fantastic with a very special natural touch. Thank you Katie for being there for Sprydo (& us). We wish you every success for the future."

"A very kind, caring and patient vet with my elderly and rather confused German Shepherd. The service is gold star, with not only the initial consultation but a full report emailed to you of the discussed aims regarding your animal's future care and also a follow up telephone call. You feel supported and aided in caring for your animal to the very best of your ability. I am immensely reassured."

"From recent personal experience I can highly recommend Katie and Vet in a Van. We used the service for the first time after a personal recommendation, when our almost 17 year old Cocker Spaniel had to be put to sleep and Katie’s kindness, patience and compassion was second to none. "We made the hard but best decision to have our nearly 16 year old dog pts. Katie was absolutely amazing with him and the family. Having to option to use someone that would come to the home was great, it meant we didn't have to destress him anymore than needed. Everything was calm, and my daughter held him till the end. There was no pressure or rush to get everything done. I couldn't recommend Katie enough. Thank you ❤️"

"I cannot express my gratitude and appreciation of Katie enough. I've worked with large animals and owned pets all my adult life, so have met many vets in that time. Katie goes above and beyond! She is compassionate, super friendly but incredibly professional. My dog, Charlie, was treated gently and with dignity. He was treated in the familiar surroundings and comfort of his own home, which makes such a huge difference to a pets anxiety levels. Many, many thanks Katie."

"Katie at Your Vet in a Van came to our home when it was our young cat Simba’s time to transition. She was professional, compassionate, patient and incredibly kind throughout the whole process. She gave us all the time we needed, never rushed us, and handled everything with such care and dignity. Katie is very intuitive and made an incredibly difficult day a little more peaceful. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone facing the heartbreaking decision of saying goodbye to a beloved pet."

"We cannot thank Katie at Vet in a Van enough for the compassion and care she brought when helping our beloved Simba transition. She arrived with such a calm, gentle presence and somehow managed to hold both guidance and space at the same time - knowing when to speak, when to reassure us, and when to quietly let us simply be with our boy. Having Simba transition at home was exactly what we wanted for him. Not clinical. Not rushed. Just peaceful, surrounded by the people who loved him most, in the place where he felt safest - his home. In the middle of one of the hardest moments imaginable, Katie helped make it feel deeply loving and dignified. We will always be grateful."

"We can’t recommend Katie highly enough. We recently had to say goodbye to our 14-year-old Staffy, and although it was a heartbreaking day, Katie made it so much more bearable with her kindness, compassion, and professionalism. From the very first contact via Facebook, she was responsive, gentle, and reassuring, taking the time to answer our questions and guide us through what to expect. On the day, she treated our dog with such dignity and care, and gave us the time and space we needed to say goodbye properly. "My old cat (18 yrs old) finally gave up the ghost. I couldn't take her to the vet, too distressing for both of us. Contacted Vet in the Van, and Katie came to the house. Katie was lovely with the cat and me. The cat passed peacefully on my lap which was really sad, but lovely. Thank you so much Katie. Jason"

"Katie was absolutely fantastic with managing a very sad and difficult time for us as a family when it came to say goodbye to our wonderful boy Leo. We have 4 children who wanted to say their final farewells to our dog, Katie explained what would happen in such a way that reassured all of us and so we understood what was happening. She gave us plenty of time to say goodbye to Leo in such a peaceful way in our own home. From initially making contact and to the final moment Katie has been supportive and caring."

"I cannot recommend Katie enough for her services. My elderly cat was feeling unwell and she did a next day home visit. She was both thorough, knowledgeable and kind towards my old boy. Although he needed further tests at the vets she reassured me that his condition was not life threatening and followed up with a phone call with further advice. She is definitely a vet that is caring and goes above and beyond. Thank you, Katie!"

"Excellent service from first contact. Katie came to the house and immediately put both us and our much loved little girl at our ease, allowing us to be with her as she slipped away in her own home environment. "Katie is such a caring and loving vet the whole process was such a calm and peaceful experience for all involved. I can't praise enough this service there is no rush and you have as much time as you need to say goodbye to your pet. It is a more relaxed way as sad it is to let your pet go. I would recommend this rather than go to a surgery as Coco was at home with her loved ones. She is back home now in a beautiful casket and once again thankyou."

"Katie has been a godsend! My 18yr old cat has recently been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism after going in for dental surgery for age related gingivitis. Surgery had to be postponed until we can get his T4s down to a safe level. I am housebound, so I was recommended Katie to come out to my home to give him a check-up and to take his blood to test his T4 levels. Katie was very friendly and caring, to both my cat and myself, whilst being professional too. There has been amazing communication via emails, before and after the home visit, explaining everything I needed to know in detail, reassuring me and answering all of my questions. She was gentle and patient towards my cat, even when his veins didn't want to play ball for his blood test. Katie took the sample to get tested and didn't keep me waiting for the results. His T4 levels were not down enough for a safe surgery, so she has booked another home visit to retest them again in the New Year. Prices are very reasonable, with no hidden charges, and a lot lower than the previous option I had just for transporting my cat before I changed vets. I highly recommend Katie Vet in a Van, and I cannot thank her enough!"

"I can’t recommend Vet in a Van enough. Katie was wonderful, genuinely caring and completely non-judgmental. Both the visit and aftercare were excellent. Our pets were thoroughly checked, and we were given a clear aftercare plan. It’s extremely difficult to find a vet for my beloved chickens, but Katie knew exactly what to do. The ease of home visits rather than the stress of taking them somewhere is genius. I’m incredibly grateful and will absolutely use Vet in a Van for any future needs."
